Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Sr. Operations Engineer to own end-to-end growth initiatives for Starlink. You will translate data into strategic decisions, influence cross-functional leadership, and help scale retention and lifetime value across hardware and services.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Product, Finance, Customer Support, Legal, and Supply Chain to define KPIs, build predictive models, run large-scale experiments, and deliver actionable updates to executives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Math, CS, Data Science, Physics, or STEM field.
• 5+ years in operations, growth, analytics, product management, consulting, or a similar high‑impact role.
• 3+ years of experience in Python or SQL.

Responsibilities

• Own major initiatives to improve customer retention and lifetime value through analytics.
• Identify defects; design scalable solutions at scale.
• Deeply analyze metrics to uncover churn drivers and growth opportunities.
• Build predictive models and analytical frameworks that surface risks and opportunities.
• Scope and execute large-scale experiments and customer outreach campaigns.
• Partner with cross-functional leadership to define KPIs and align on priorities.
• Provide concise updates to senior leadership on performance and risks.
• Define and improve retention dashboards, tools, and processes; mentor teammates.
