Job summary

Synchrony is seeking a Sr. Business Analyst to join the GRC Risk Management Systems team. You will drive risk management goals, partner with multiple stakeholders, and advocate for the GRC platform as the system of record.

The role emphasizes data-driven decision making, agile development practices, and cross-functional collaboration across finance, IT, and business teams in a flexible work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 3+ years in software development lifecycle; or High School Diploma/GED with 6+ years of experience in software development lifecycle.
• 3+ years of experience with operational risk management techniques including process flows, risk and control identification and monitoring.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• 2+ years of advanced Excel functions (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Macros, charts).
• 3+ years of Project Management experience.
• 3+ years of proficiency with eGRC platforms such as Archer, SAI360, ServiceNow, MetricStream, and AuditBoard.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for the GRC technology platform as the primary tool for risk and governance activities and system of record.
• Partner with internal and external stakeholders to help departments identify, understand and manage risks holistically.
• Develop features/user stories, support QA review, lead UAT and regression activities and release validation.
• Identify process improvements, user experience, design, and technical opportunities to support risk and governance programs.
• Maintain a well-groomed backlog, participate in Agile rituals, and be the business voice for GRC.
• Support backlog sequencing to drive the product roadmap by collaborating with stakeholders on requirements.
• Support day-to-day operation of Synchrony’s GRC Risk technology platform; work with IT and business teams as required.
