Job summary

Synchrony is seeking a Sr. Business Analyst to join the GRC Risk Management Systems team. You will drive risk management goals, develop features, review QA, lead UAT, and partner with IT and business units to ensure the GRC platform remains the system of record.

You will engage with stakeholders across departments to identify risks, prioritize the backlog, and help shape the product roadmap while contributing to a data‑driven culture in a dynamic financial services environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business/IT/finance or equivalent with 3+ years in software lifecycle or 6+ years with HS diploma.
• 3+ years of operational risk management techniques incl. risk/control identification and metrics.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
• 2+ years of advanced Excel functions (PivotTable, VLOOKUP, Macros, charts).
• 3+ years of project management experience.
• 3+ years with eGRC platforms (Archer, SAI360, ServiceNow, MetricStream) and AuditBoard.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for the GRC platform as the system of record for risk and governance activities.
• Partner with stakeholders across departments to identify and manage risks holistically.
• Develop features/user stories; review QA tests; lead UAT and regression testing; validate releases.
• Identify process and architecture improvements to support risk and governance programs.
• Maintain a groomed backlog; participate in Agile rituals; voice of the business for GRC.
• Support backlog sequencing to drive the product roadmap with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with IT and business teams on day‑to‑day platform operations.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
