Job summary

Synchrony is seeking a Sr. Business Analyst to join the GRC Risk Management Systems team. You will drive understanding and execution of risk management goals, develop features, and lead UAT and regression validation in a data-driven finance environment.

You will partner with IT and business stakeholders to identify risks, document requirements, and maintain a well-groomed backlog. The role requires strong analytical, communication, and project-management skills, with experience in eGRC platforms

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field plus 3+ years in software development/life-cycle management or 6+ years with HS diploma.
• 3+ years with operational risk management techniques including risk controls, testing, and metrics.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; detail oriented.
• 2+ years of advanced Excel functions, Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Macros, charts.
• 3+ years of Project Management experience.
• 3+ years of proficiency in eGRC platforms such as Archer, SAI360, ServiceNow, MetricStream and Audit Board.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for the GRC platform as the system of record for risk and governance activities.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and manage organizational risks holistically.
• Develop features/user stories, support QA, lead UAT and regression testing and release validation.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, user experience, and technical architecture for risk programs.
• Maintain backlog, participate in Agile rituals, and align backlog with the product roadmap.
• Support daily operations of Synchrony’s GRC platform and collaborate with IT and business teams.
• Perform other duties or special projects as assigned.
