Job summary

Synchrony is seeking a Sr. Business Analyst to join the GRC Risk Management Systems team. You will drive risk management goals, develop features and user stories, and lead QA/UAT activities.

The role involves collaboration with multiple departments to identify and manage risks across the organization, with flexibility to work from home or in an office hub and occasional travel for in-person engagements. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in risk/banking domains, extensive experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 3+ years of experience in software development life cycle
• Experience with operational risk management techniques including risk controls and monitoring
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Proficiency with advanced Excel functions (Pivot Table, VLOOKUP, Macros) and data analysis

Responsibilities

• Advocate for use of the GRC technology platform for risk and governance activities
• Partner with stakeholders to identify, understand, and manage organizational risks
• Develop Features/User Stories and support QA, UAT, and regression testing
• Maintain and groom backlog, participate in Agile rituals, and drive product roadmap
• Support day-to-day operation of Synchrony’s GRC Risk platform, working with IT and business teams
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
