Job summary

Synchrony is seeking a Sr. Business Analyst to join the GRC Risk Management Systems team. You will drive risk governance initiatives, translate business needs into features, and partner with IT and stakeholders to enhance the GRC platform.

You will lead UAT, QA, and release validation, maintain a groomed backlog, and contribute to an Agile environment. This role offers flexible work options with hybrid/remote opportunities and opportunities to grow in the financial industry.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 3+ years in software development and lifecycle management.
• Experience with operational risk management techniques including process flows and risk assessments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• 2+ years advanced Excel functions (Pivot Table, VLOOKUP, Macros, Charts).
• 3+ years Project Management experience.
• 3+ years of experience working in eGRC platforms such as Archer, SAI360, ServiceNow, MetricStream, Audit Board.

Responsibilities

• Advocate the GRC platform as the system of record for risk and governance.
• Partner with stakeholders to identify and manage organizational risks.
• Develop features/user stories and support QA, UAT, and release validation.
• Identify process improvements for risk and governance programs.
• Maintain a well-groomed backlog and participate in Agile rituals.
• Support backlog sequencing and define requirements with stakeholders.
• Oversee day-to-day operation of Synchrony’s GRC risk tech platform.
• Collaborate with IT and business teams on needs.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
