The American Heart Association is seeking a Sr. Grant Administrator for the Voices for Healthy Kids team. Home-based work is available.

The role coordinates complex, multi-million-dollar grant operations, translating program goals into actionable budgets, systems, and processes to ensure efficiency, accountability, and impact. You will monitor budgets, ensure compliance, and prepare reports while partnering with multiple teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• 5+ years of meaningful grant administration or related experience.
• Strong accounting, budgeting, and grant-management capabilities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Integrates grant requirements into the program and monitors processes, maintaining records and systems for program management.
• Coordinates program budget development with Mission Advancement and leadership, ensuring funder alignment.
• Monitor budgets and expenditures, analyze financial activity, provide variance reporting, forecasting, and reconciliation guidance.
• Coordinate work with internal stakeholders across finance, legal, operations, development, advocacy, and IT.
• Develop and maintain internal systems, controls, and documentation for audit readiness.
• Act as Voices technology coordinator to optimize systems supporting grantmaking and reporting.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, partners, and grantees.
• Lead or contribute to cross-functional initiatives and projects requiring coordination and change management.
• Contribute to operational planning for grant-making with system enhancements to improve transparency and efficiency.
• Provide guidance and oversight to team members; may serve as team lead or player/coach.
