Job summary

The American Heart Association is seeking a Sr. Grant Administrator to coordinate complex grant-funded operations for the Voices for Healthy Kids team.

This home-based role emphasizes budget management, compliance, and cross-functional collaboration across program strategy, finance, and operations. You will translate program goals into actionable budgets, manage grant deliverables, monitor spending, and support audit readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 5 years of meaningful experience.
• Extensive experience with grant management and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Integrates grant requirements into the program and monitors processes; maintains records and systems.
• Coordinates program budget development with leadership and funders.
• Monitor budgets, analyze financial activity, and provide variance reporting and forecasting.
• Collaborates with finance, legal, operations, development, and other teams; ensures policy compliance.
• Develops controls and documentation to support audit readiness and program management.
• Act as the Voices technology coordinator to optimize grantmaking systems.
• Builds relationships with internal teams, partners, and grantees for high-quality outcomes.
• Leads or participates in cross-functional initiatives and change management.
• Contributes to planning for grant-making and system enhancements.
• Provides guidance and oversight to team members; may serve as lead or coach.
