Job summary

The American Heart Association is seeking a Sr. Grant Administrator to join the Voices for Healthy Kids team. This home-based/hybrid role coordinates multi-million-dollar grants, aligning program goals with budgets and reporting across departments.

Responsibilities include budget development, compliance monitoring, and systems optimization with internal and external partners. The position may supervise others and contribute to strategic planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• 5 years of meaningful experience
• Proficiency in accounting, budgeting, grant management and compliance

Responsibilities

• Integrates grant requirements into the program and monitors processes and records.
• Coordinates program budget development with leadership to align with funder expectations and internal controls.
• Monitor budgets and expenditures, analyze financial activity, provide variance reporting, forecasting, and reconciliation guidance.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders across finance, legal, operations, development, advocacy, and business technology to ensure policy adherence.
• Develop and maintain internal systems, controls, and documentation to support audit readiness and program management.
• Act as Voices technology coordinator to optimize systems and tools supporting grantmaking and reporting.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal teams, external partners, and grantees for high-quality outcomes.
• Lead or contribute to cross-functional initiatives and project teams for coordination and change management.
• Contribute to operational planning for grant-making through system enhancements that improve transparency and efficiency.
• Provide guidance and oversight to team members; may serve as a team lead or player/coach.
