Job summary

The American Heart Association is seeking a Sr. Grant Administrator for the Voices for Healthy Kids team.

This home-based opportunity coordinates the strategic execution of multi-million-dollar grant-funded operations, aligning program goals with budgets and systems to drive impact. You will collaborate across finance, legal, operations, and development to ensure timely deliverables, monitor spending, and support grant reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• 5 years of meaningful experience in grant administration or related field.
• Strong accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting skills.
• Experience with cross-functional collaboration and grant compliance.

Responsibilities

• Integrates grant requirements into program operations and monitors processes with internal records and systems.
• Coordinates program budget development and facilitation with leadership teams to align with funder expectations.
• Monitor budgets and expenditures, analyze financial activity, provide variance reporting and forecasting.
• Coordinate work with internal stakeholders across finance, legal, operations, development, and IT while ensuring policy compliance.
• Develop and maintain internal controls, documentation, and systems to support audit readiness.
• Act as Voices technology coordinator and optimize systems supporting grantmaking and reporting.
• Build relationships with internal teams, external partners, and grantees to enable collaboration.
• Lead or contribute to cross-functional initiatives and project teams.
• Contribute to strategic planning and process improvements for grant-making.
• Provide coaching and oversight to team members; lead or coach as needed.
