Job summary

The American Heart Association is seeking a Sr. Grant Administrator for the Voices for Healthy Kids team. This home-based role coordinates complex grant-funded operations and aligns program goals with budgets, systems, and reporting to ensure accountability and impact.

You will lead cross-functional work with finance, legal, operations, development, and technology partners; oversee grant deliverables; monitor spending; and help drive audit readiness and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 5 years of meaningful experience.
• Proficient in grant management and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Integrates grant requirements into program management and maintains internal records and systems.
• Coordinates program budget development with Mission Advancement, Office of Funded Programs, and leadership teams.
• Monitors budgets and expenditures; provides variance reporting, forecasting, and reconciliation guidance.
• Collaborates with finance, legal, operations, development, advocacy, and IT across staff functions.
• Develops internal systems, controls, and documentation to support audit readiness.
• Acts as Voices technology coordinator for grantmaking and reporting.
• Builds relationships with internal teams, external partners, and grantees.
• Leads cross-functional initiatives and project teams.
• Supports grant-making planning with process innovations and transparency.
• Provides coaching and oversight; may lead teams.
