Job summary

Karsun Solutions seeks an experienced Senior Contracts Manager to lead prime and subcontracting activities across the full procurement cycle for a government-focused portfolio. You will review solicitations, draft and negotiate agreements, manage documentation, and coordinate with contracting officers to ensure compliance and timely closures.

The role requires deep knowledge of FAR, strong negotiation and communication skills, and the ability to work independently or with cross-functional teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field.
• 10+ years of contracts experience or 15 years of relevant contracts experience.
• Experience managing large scale contracts for government contractors.
• Working knowledge of CPSR and approval process.
• Knowledge of FAR and agency-specific procurement regulations and ethics.
• Solid understanding of procurement processes from requisition to contract enforcement.
• Experience in federal contract negotiation and management best practices.
• Experience with various contract types including FFP, Cost Reimbursement, T&M, IDIQ, Teaming and NDAs.

Responsibilities

• Pre- and post-award contract support for prime and subcontract agreements; draft/negotiate contracts, modifications, teaming agreements, NDAs; manage documentation and liaise with contracting officers.
• Proposal development with BD, pricing, and technical staff for cost-based, T&M, and fixed-price offers; review terms and risks.
• Provide guidance on FAR/compliance issues; prepare documents for Federal officials and document compliance per audit requirements.
• Review and evaluate RFPs/RFQs and changes to contracts within the portfolio.
• Suggest risk-mitigating approaches and revisions to terms and pricing strategies.
• Support proposals by reviewing solicitations, preparing certifications, guiding cross-functional team members, and representing company in government interactions.
• Establish working relationships with stakeholders (BD, Accounting, PM) for ongoing management of contractual issues.
• Process and administer contract modifications, collaborating with government counterparts on compliance issues.
• Manage complex multi-award IT vehicles ensuring compliance with reporting requirements (FFTA, ISRs, SSRs, SCRs).
• Monitor spending caps, performance periods, and labor category mapping for task orders.
• Ensure proper IP rights assertion in proposals/deliverables to protect proprietary software.
