Job summary

Coinbase, Inc. is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for the Wallets, Liquidity & Bridging team. You will design backend services in Go to power wallet operations and cross-chain bridging across custodial and non-custodial flows.

You will scale and maintain production backend services with strict reliability requirements, collaborating across teams and contributing to a high-availability Tier-0 platform. This is a remote-friendly, hybrid role with quarterly in-person surge sessions.

Qualifications

5+ years of software engineering experience with Go and distributed systems.
Experience building production backend services with strong reliability.
Familiarity with blockchain transaction construction and cross-chain integrations.

Responsibilities

Own the design and delivery of backend services (Go) powering wallet operations and cross-chain bridging.
Build and improve distributed systems for transaction lifecycle, signing, broadcasting, and on-chain reconciliation across Ethereum, Bitcoin, Solana.
Improve reliability and observability of wallet services, participate in incident response and post-mortems.
Collaborate with Trading, Custody, Staking, and other teams to define contracts and dependencies.
Decompose monoliths into modular platform services for broader reuse.
Contribute to engineering quality via code reviews and architectural guidance.
