Job summary

Coinbase, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Wallets, Liquidity & Bridging team in a remote-first environment.

You will design and build backend services in Go to power wallet operations, liquidity movements, and multi-chain bridging across custodial and non-custodial flows. You will work on distributed systems for transaction lifecycle, signing, broadcasting, and on-chain reconciliation across Ethereum, Bitcoin, and Solana, with an emphasis on reliability and observability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with Go and hands-on design/operation of distributed systems.
• Experience building production backend services with high correctness and reliability.
• Familiarity with blockchain technologies (Ethereum, Bitcoin, Solana) and cross-chain integrations.
• Experience decomposing monoliths into microservices or scalable platform architectures.
• Strong collaboration across teams and autonomous delivery of projects.
• Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight to improve workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own the design and delivery of backend services (Go) powering wallet operations and cross-chain bridging.
• Build and improve distributed systems for transaction lifecycle, signing, broadcasting, and on-chain reconciliation.
• Drive reliability and observability improvements for wallet services and incident response.
• Collaborate with Trading, Custody, Staking, and other teams to integrate wallet services with downstream products.
• Lead service decomposition and architecture improvements to create reusable platform services.
• Provide design feedback and enforce coding standards through rigorous reviews.
