Job summary
Coinbase, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Wallets, Liquidity & Bridging team. You will design and build distributed backend services in Go that power wallet operations and cross-chain bridging for 55+ protocols, focusing on reliability and scalability.
You will collaborate with Trading, Custody, Staking, and other teams, drive architecture improvements, and uphold coding standards while advancing multi-chain support and observability.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of software engineering experience with Go.
- Experience designing and operating production backend services.
- Familiarity with blockchain technologies such as Ethereum, Bitcoin, or Solana.
- Experience decomposing monolithic systems into scalable microservices.
- Strong cross-team collaboration and communication.
- Uses generative AI responsibly with human oversight.
Responsibilities
- Own the design and delivery of backend services (Go) powering wallet operations, liquidity movements, and cross-chain bridging.
- Build and improve distributed systems for transaction lifecycle, signing, broadcasting, and on-chain reconciliation.
- Improve reliability and observability for wallet services and contribute to incident response and post-mortems.
- Collaborate with Trading, Custody, Staking, and other teams to integrate wallet services with downstream products.
- Drive service decomposition and architecture improvements for modular platform services.
- Uphold engineering quality through code reviews and architectural discussions.
