Job summary

Coinbase, Inc. is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for the Wallets, Liquidity & Bridging team.

You will design backend services in Go to power wallet operations, liquidity movements, and cross-chain bridging across multiple blockchain protocols, delivering reliable, scalable infrastructure. You will collaborate with Trading, Custody, Staking, and platform teams to define contracts, break down legacy systems, and raise engineering quality through reviews and best practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with Go
• Experience building and operating production backend services with strong reliability
• Familiarity with blockchain tech and cross-chain integrations
• Experience decomposing monoliths into microservices and scalable platform architecture
• Proven ability to collaborate across teams and drive projects autonomously
• Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight to improve workflows

Responsibilities

• Own the design and delivery of backend services (Go) powering wallet operations and bridging across custodial and non-custodial flows
• Build and improve distributed systems for transaction lifecycle, signing, broadcasting, and on-chain reconciliation across multiple blockchains
• Improve reliability and observability of wallet services, participate in incident response and post-mortems
• Collaborate with Trading, Custody, Staking, and other teams to integrate wallet services with downstream products
• Decompose legacy systems into modular, reusable platform services
• Contribute to engineering quality via code reviews, design feedback, and adherence to standards
