Coinbase, Inc. is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for the Wallets, Liquidity & Bridging team.

You will design and build backend Go services powering wallet operations, liquidity movements, and cross-chain bridging across custodial and non-custodial flows, with focus on reliability and multi-chain scalability. You will collaborate with Trading, Custody, Staking, and other teams to define contracts, decompose legacy systems, and improve observability while ensuring high-quality engineering

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in software engineering with Go.
Experience designing and operating distributed backend services with reliability requirements.
Familiarity with blockchain-related transaction flows or cross-chain integrations.
Experience decomposing monoliths into microservices and scalable platform architectures.
Proven ability to collaborate across teams and drive projects autonomously.
Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight to improve workflows.

Responsibilities

Own the design and delivery of backend Go services powering wallet operations, liquidity movements, and cross-chain bridging.
Build and improve distributed systems for transaction lifecycle, signing, broadcasting, and on-chain reconciliation.
Improve reliability and observability for wallet services, participate in incident response and post-mortems.
Collaborate with Trading, Custody, Staking, and other teams to integrate wallet services with downstream products.
Decompose legacy systems into modular platform services that other teams can reuse.
Lead code reviews, provide design feedback, and share architectural best practices.
