Job summary

Coinbase, Inc. is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for the Wallets, Liquidity & Bridging team in the Platform organization. You will design backend services in Go that power wallet operations, liquidity movements, and cross-chain bridging across custodial and non-custodial flows.

You will ensure reliability, scale, and correctness across Ethereum, Bitcoin, Solana, and other protocols, while collaborating with Trading, Custody, Staking, and platform teams to deliver integrated solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering with Go.
• Experience building production backend services with reliability requirements.
• Familiarity with blockchain technologies such as transaction construction and cross-chain integrations.
• Experience decomposing monolithic systems into scalable microservices.
• Ability to collaborate across teams and communicate trade-offs clearly.
• Uses generative AI responsibly with human oversight.

Responsibilities

• Own the design and delivery of backend services (Go) powering wallet operations, liquidity movements, and cross-chain bridging.
• Build and improve distributed systems for transaction lifecycle, signing, broadcasting, and on-chain reconciliation across multiple protocols.
• Improve reliability and observability for wallet services, contributing to incident response and systemic fixes.
• Partner with Trading, Custody, Staking, and cross-platform teams to integrate wallet services with downstream products.
• Execute service decomposition and architecture improvements to create modular platform services.
• Support engineering quality through code reviews, design feedback, and shared patterns.
