Coinbase, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Wallets, Liquidity & Bridging team within the Platform organization. You will design and build backend services in Go to power wallet operations and cross-chain bridging across custodial and non-custodial flows.

The role emphasizes reliability, multi-chain scalability, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. You will contribute to service decomposition and architectural improvements while maintaining high standards of code

Qualifications

5+ years in software engineering with Go and distributed systems.
Build and operate production backend services with high reliability.
Experience with blockchain transaction flows and cross-chain integrations.
Experience decomposing monoliths into scalable microservices.
Collaborative cross-team communication and ownership of projects.

Responsibilities

Own the design and delivery of backend services (Go) powering wallet operations, liquidity movements, and cross-chain bridging across custodial and non-custodial flows.
Build and improve the distributed systems that manage transaction lifecycle, signing, broadcasting, and on-chain reconciliation across multiple blockchain protocols.
Drive reliability and observability improvements for wallet services, including incident response and post-mortems.
Partner with Trading, Custody, Staking, and cross-platform teams to integrate wallet services with downstream products.
Execute service decomposition and architecture improvements to create modular platform services for reuse.
Support engineering quality through code reviews, design feedback, and shared architectural patterns.
