Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ, is hiring a Sr. Systems Engineer in Processing, Guidance, & Controls Center to develop and evaluate control and navigation algorithms for autonomous systems.

You will build dynamic models, simulate system behavior, and work with cross‑functional teams across mechanical, electrical, software, and test groups. The role requires a bachelor's degree in engineering or related STEM field and 5+ years of relevant experience, plus expertise in MATLAB, Python, C/C++, and real‑time

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or related STEM field with 5+ years of related experience.
• Experience in at least one of the following: GNC systems, navigation sensors/state estimation/perception, guidance and control algorithms, system modeling & simulation, parameter tuning/validation, test data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop, simulate, and evaluate control and navigation algorithms for autonomous systems; apply model‑based design and test data to improve performance.
• Build and use dynamic models to evaluate behavior, conduct design trades, and reduce development cycles.
• Analyze test data to evaluate performance, identify issues, and drive improvements.
• Work cross‑functionally with mechanical, electrical, software, systems, and test teams to integrate complex systems.
• Develop algorithms, system models, simulation tools, controls, or signal processing for complex products.
