Job summary

RTX is hiring for a Systems Engineer II - Guidance, Navigation, and Control Engineer in Tucson, AZ. You will help evaluate, design, implement, and integrate embedded software algorithms for missile programs within an integrated product team, delivering 6-DOF simulations and flight software to meet performance targets.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in a STEM field and at least 2 years of relevant experience. U.S.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related STEM degree and a minimum of 2 years prior relevant experience.
• Experience with MATLAB, Python, C, C++, and/or Object-Oriented design.
• Ability to obtain an Interim Secret U.S. government issued Security Clearance prior to start; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Development, integration, and testing of embedded tactical missile flight code.
• Definition and execution of system level performance studies to inform development and integration of new capabilities.
• Work within an agile framework to lead development of backlogs, plans, and metrics.
• Provide experience and guidance to help the program train new engineers and execute efficiently.
• Support missile performance analysis including model development, system optimization, and Monte Carlo assessments.
