Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is hiring a Sr. Systems Engineer for Processing, Guidance, & Controls. This role focuses on developing control and navigation algorithms for autonomous systems, using model-based design and simulations to enhance performance.

The position requires a Bachelor’s in Engineering or related field with 5+ years of experience and the ability to obtain an Interim Secret clearance. On-site work and cross-disciplinary collaboration are expected.

Qualifications

• Experience with MATLAB, Python, C, C++, or OO design.
• Ability to obtain Interim Secret U.S. govt clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
• Willingness to work on-site in Tucson, AZ and support DoD programs.

Responsibilities

• Develop, simulate, and evaluate control and navigation algorithms for autonomous systems.
• Apply model-based design, simulation, and test data to improve system performance.
• Build dynamic system models and simulations to evaluate behavior and reduce test cycles.
• Analyze test data to identify issues and drive engineering improvements.
• Collaborate across mechanical, electrical, software, and test teams to integrate systems.
