RTX's Systems Engineering & Test Capabilities Centers in Tucson, AZ are seeking a System Engineer II – Processing, Guidance, & Controls to develop and evaluate control and navigation algorithms for autonomous systems on-site in Tucson, AZ.

You will work with cross-functional teams to build dynamic models, run simulations, analyze test data, and push for improved performance across complex platforms while leveraging MATLAB, Python, C, and C++.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or related STEM field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with MATLAB, Python, C, C++, or OO design.
• Engineering experience in GNC, navigation sensors, state estimation, or related areas.
• Real-time guidance, navigation, and control software experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop, simulate, and evaluate control and navigation algorithms for autonomous systems.
• Build and use dynamic system models and simulations for design trades.
• Analyze test data to evaluate performance and drive improvements.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with mechanical, electrical, software, systems, and test teams.
• Apply model-based design, simulation, and test data to improve system performance.
