Job summary

Raytheon Technologies (RTX) is hiring Systems Engineer II - Processing, Guidance, & Controls to support the PG&C Center in Tucson, AZ. This onsite role focuses on developing and validating autonomous control and navigation algorithms and system models for advanced defense systems.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s in engineering or STEM and 2+ years of relevant experience, plus proficiency in MATLAB, Python, C/C++, and OO design. Citizenship and clearance eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or related STEM field.
• Minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
• Experience in GNC, navigation sensors, or control algorithms.
• Experience with MATLAB, Python, C, C++, and/or OO design.
• Ability to obtain Interim Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, simulate, and evaluate control and navigation algorithms for autonomous systems.
• Build and use dynamic system models and simulations to evaluate behavior.
• Analyze test data to evaluate performance and drive improvements.
• Collaborate across mechanical, electrical, software, systems, and test teams.
• Experience delivering algorithms and models for complex products.
