Job summary

RTX's Effectors PG&C Center in Tucson, AZ seeks a Sr. Systems Engineer - Guidance, Navigation, and Control to design, implement, and integrate embedded software for missile systems.

You will work with a team to deliver six-degrees-of-freedom simulations and flight software to meet performance requirements. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in GNC, signal processing, or modeling/simulation, plus proficiency in MATLAB, Python, C/C++, and OO design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years in relevant engineering field.
• GNC, signal processing, or modeling/simulation experience.
• Experience with digital/modern control, dynamics, Kalman filter design, Monte Carlo analysis, or related simulations.
• Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, C/C++, or OO design; strong collaboration and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, integrate, and test embedded missile flight code.
• Perform system-level analyses to inform new capabilities or obsolescence work.
• Lead backlog planning in an agile environment and mentor junior engineers.
• Support missile performance analysis including model development and Monte Carlo assessments.
