Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center seeks a Senior GME Program Coordinator to provide strategic direction and oversee complex residency and fellowship programs. You will collaborate with the Program Director to develop and implement program strategy while mentoring junior coordinators and coordinating accreditation activities.

You will apply advanced knowledge of GME regulations, lead data-driven improvements, and foster strong collaboration with faculty, residents, staff, and external bodies to

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or related field required
• 4 years of direct experience as the primary GME program coordinator of an ACGME-accredited residency-fellowship program(s)
• Master's degree preferred
• TAGME certification upon hire

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic planning and development of the GME program(s) in collaboration with the Program Director
• Oversee all aspects of program operations including resident recruitment, onboarding, and education
• Lead development and implementation of innovative educational strategies and program enhancements
• Oversee program evaluation including resident, faculty and program evaluations for continuous improvement
• Coordinate accreditation activities including site visits and self-studies
• Advise the Program Director on policies and strategic initiatives
• Provide mentorship to junior coordinators and supervise staff
• Represent the program at national and international meetings and professional organizations
• Manage program budgets, forecasting, expenditures, and financial compliance
• Ensure HIPAA, FERPA, and related regulatory compliance
• Stay updated on medical education, accreditation standards and best practices
• Perform other duties as assigned
