Responsibilities include ensuring ACGME compliance, directing recruitment, credentialing, budgeting, and reporting to accrediting bodies, while mentoring junior staff and representing the program at

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in healthcare administration or related field; four years of administrative experience or 60 semester hours may substitute for an Associate's Degree.
  • Two years of direct experience with a medical education program; knowledge of ACGME or LCME accreditation requirements and national standards.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all aspects of the GME program, including development and implementation of innovative educational strategies.
  • Support daily operations of the GME residency/fellowship program(s) and collaborate with other coordinators/administrators.
  • Facilitate resident recruitment, selection, and onboarding, including visa requirements and credentialing.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to residents/fellows and junior staff on GME policies and procedures.
  • Lead program compliance efforts, ensuring adherence to ACGME requirements and institutional policies.
  • Oversee program evaluation of residents, faculty, and programs with timely data analysis.
  • Lead preparation and submission of reports to ACGME and other regulators.
  • Develop and implement program quality improvement initiatives and participate in national/regional GME conferences.
  • Collaborate with leadership on accreditation activities, site visits, self-studies and special reviews.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain all program procedures per standards.
  • Act as liaison with Program Director and provide updates on progress and challenges.
  • Mentor junior coordinators and administrative staff as assigned.
  • Represent the program at local, state, and national meetings and conferences.
  • Maintain relationships with stakeholders including faculty, residents, staff, and external agencies.
  • Oversee program budget management and ensure financial compliance.
