Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking a senior GME Program Coordinator III to provide strategic direction and oversight for complex residency-fellowship programs. The role collaborates with the Program Director to shape program strategy and operations, mentoring junior coordinators while driving innovative initiatives across GME.

The position requires advanced knowledge of all aspects of GME administration, strong decision-making, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams in a dynamic

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or a related field is required.
• Associate's Degree plus 3 additional years of direct experience may be accepted.
• 4 years of direct experience as the primary GME program coordinator for an ACGME-accredited residency-fellowship program(s) is required.
• May be required to submit to a federal background investigation.
• Master's Degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads strategic planning and development of the GME program with the Program Director.
• Oversees resident recruitment, onboarding, and the overall educational experience.
• Develops innovative educational strategies to improve learner outcomes.
• Manages program evaluation including data analysis for improvement.
• Oversees accreditation activities including site visits and self-studies.
• Advises the Program Director on policies and strategic initiatives.
• Mentors junior coordinators and may supervise staff.
• Represents the program at meetings and professional organizations.
• Maintains relationships with faculty, residents, staff and external bodies.
• Oversees budget forecasting and expenditure monitoring in compliance with regulations.
