Job summary

Bunnell-Lammons Engineering, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Project Engineer to lead geotechnical, environmental, and civil engineering projects.

You will manage planning, execution, and closure while guiding a team of engineers and technicians. Ideal candidates bring hands‑on project engineering experience, strong leadership, and a track record in delivering quality results for municipal, industrial, residential, and commercial clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in South Carolina or ability to obtain reciprocity.
• Minimum 5–12 years of geotechnical engineering and/or materials testing with 3+ years in a supervisory/management role.
• Knowledge of geotechnical design and construction requirements.
• Knowledge of geosynthetics.
• Apply advanced knowledge of civil/geotechnical engineering principles to project design, analysis, and problem-solving.
• Conduct analyses, calculations, and design for site development, foundation design, retaining walls, earthwork, and pavements.
• Prepare detailed reports, specifications, drawings, and project documentation.
• Use AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GeoStudio, gINT, TabLogs for design and data analysis.
• Perform site investigations, field inspections, and data collection.
• Interpret and apply local, state, and federal regulations (ASTM, IBC).

Responsibilities

• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers, designers, and field staff.
• Delegate tasks and oversee project team members to ensure accuracy and requirements.
• Foster a collaborative team environment and professional growth.
• Conduct performance feedback sessions and support development.
• Lead geotechnical investigations including site reconnaissance and drilling oversight.
