Job summary

Bunnell-Lammons Engineering (BLE) seeks a highly motivated Project Engineer to lead environmental, geotechnical, and civil projects. This hands-on role emphasizes planning, execution, and closure of complex assignments, with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions for municipal, industrial, residential, and commercial clients.

The successful candidate will have a strong technical background, proven leadership, and 5–12 years in geotechnical engineering or materials testing, with at least 3

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in South Carolina or reciprocity.
• 5–12 years in geotechnical eng. and/or materials testing with 3+ years in a supervisory role.
• Knowledge of geotechnical design and construction requirements.
• Knowledge of geosynthetics.
• Ability to apply civil/geotechnical engineering principles to design and analysis.
• Prepare detailed reports, specs, drawings, and project docs.
• Proficient with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GeoStudio, gINT, Tablogs.
• Perform site investigations and data collection; interpret regulations (ASTM/IBC).

Responsibilities

• Lead geotechnical investigations including site reconnaissance, drilling oversight, sampling.
• Assign soils laboratory testing and supervise field teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and guide project teams.
• Manage client communications and maintain strong relationships.
• Develop project plans, schedules, and resource needs.
• Ensure quality control and compliance with standards.
• Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors on projects.
• Monitor project budgets and financial performance.
• Identify opportunities for new work and business development.
