Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer Manager to lead complex infrastructure and development projects across New England from our Merrimack, NH office. This senior role combines technical excellence with project management and client development.

You will guide investigations, analyses, and design efforts, mentor engineers, and help grow WSP's geotechnical practice while collaborating with clients, contractors, and regulators. Travel to project sites will be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering with geotechnical focus.
• 10+ years of progressive geotechnical experience.
• PE license in a New England state or reciprocity.
• Experience leading geotechnical design and construction.
• Strong PM, writing, and client-facing skills.
• Proficiency with geotechnical software and MS Office.
• Willingness to travel and work in office/field environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead geotechnical projects from proposal through closeout.
• Provide technical oversight for investigations and design.
• Manage scope, budgets, schedules, and client deliverables.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and regulators.
• Review reports, calculations, and construction documents.
• Mentor junior engineers and staff.
• Support business development and client relations.
• Ensure compliance with codes and safety policies.
• Uphold company ethics and conduct.
