Job summary

WSP is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer Manager to lead complex infrastructure projects across New England from our Merrimack, NH office. This high‑impact leadership role blends advanced geotechnical expertise with project management, client development, and team leadership.

You will oversee investigations, design and construction support, mentor engineers, and drive growth of WSP's geotechnical practice, with travel as needed and a PE license in a New England state or reciprocity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
• 10+ years of progressive geotechnical engineering experience.
• PE license in a New England state or reciprocity.
• Experience leading geotechnical design and construction projects.
• Strong project management, technical writing, and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead geotechnical projects from proposal through design, construction, and closeout.
• Provide technical oversight for investigations, design, and earthwork projects.
• Manage project scope, budgets, schedules, quality, and client deliverables.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, contractors, and regulators.
• Review and prepare engineering reports, specifications, calculations, and construction documents.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers and technical staff.
• Support business development and client relationships.
