Job summary

WSP USA seeks a Senior Geotechnical Engineer Manager to lead complex infrastructure projects across New England from our Merrimack, NH office. This role blends technical leadership, project management, client development, and team mentorship, with alternative offices in ME, MA, CT, RI, and NH.

You will oversee investigations, design, and analyses for transportation, energy, and development works, guiding junior engineers and supporting growth of WSP's geotechnical practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, or related geotechnical field.
• 10+ years of progressive geotechnical engineering experience.
• PE license in a New England state or ability to obtain via reciprocity.
• Experience leading geotechnical design and construction projects.
• Strong project management, technical writing, and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead geotechnical projects from proposal through design, construction, and closeout.
• Provide technical oversight for investigations, foundation design, slope stability, and earthwork.
• Manage project scope, budgets, schedules, quality, and client deliverables.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, contractors, and regulators.
• Review and prepare engineering reports, specs, calculations, and documents.
• Mentor junior engineers and staff.
• Support business development, client relationships, and proposals.
• Ensure compliance with standards, regulatory requirements, and safety policies.
