Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation in Chantilly, VA is seeking a GEOINT Mission Processing Senior Project Engineer to lead the GEOINT Systems Support Ground Enterprise team. This role focuses on guiding the next-generation mission processing architecture and cloud deployments, with a 100% onsite requirement in Chantilly.

You will oversee a team of engineers, collaborate with government customers and industry partners, and drive the adoption of new technologies while ensuring mission-critical systems meet

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in STEM-related discipline.
• Ten+ years of experience with increasing responsibilities.
• Experience in mission control/processing, GEOINT, acquisitions/systems engineering, or software development/testing.
• Experience building and leading high-performing engineering teams.
• Ability to travel ~1 week per month and flexible schedule to meet deadlines.
• Current TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior technical advisor to the U.S. Government for GEOINT radar and EO mission data processing software in a cloud environment.
• Lead Aerospace SMEs to mature technologies, integrate systems, and deliver resilient ground architectures.
• Coordinate with enterprise stakeholders to ensure user needs are understood and met.
• Collaborate with an agile acquisition/industry team to rapidly field new software capabilities.
• Identify new technologies and commercially available capabilities for integration.
• Assist the government in shaping acquisition strategies and best-value solutions.
