Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation, Chantilly, VA, is seeking a Systems Director—Engineering Program Management and Systems Engineering to lead a national GEOINT-focused team. You will guide technology investments, coordinate with NRO/DoD, and oversee development from component to architecture level while ensuring mission success.

The role requires 12+ years in GEOINT technologies, strong cross-functional leadership, and a TS/SCI clearance with US citizenship.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, mathematics, the physical sciences, or a related field.
At least 12 years’ experience in GEOINT sensing modalities and related technologies.
Experience building and leading multi-disciplinary teams addressing technology development challenges.
Ability to work across Aerospace, government, and SETA personnel.
Willingness to travel approximately one week per month.
Requires TS/SCI clearance and US citizenship for security clearance.

Responsibilities

Lead a National Aerospace team guiding technology investments and collaborating with NRO/DoD/IC offices.
Prioritize development of next-generation spaceflight hardware and assess technology utility.
Communicate technical positions to senior customer and Aerospace leadership.
Evaluate technology development risks and facilitate insertion of new tech.
Provide reachback support from Aerospace engineering and labs for prototype hardware.
Perform personnel leadership including hiring, performance reviews, mentoring.
