Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation seeks a GEOINT Mission Processing Senior Project Engineer (Senior Project Engineer – Signal and Image Process Engineering) to lead the GEOINT Systems Support Ground Enterprise team at our Westfields, Chantilly, VA site. This is a full‑time, onsite role requiring a TS/SCI clearance and U.S.

citizenship. You will guide a team of ~5 PTS, shaping mission processing architectures for the US Government.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in a science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) related discipline.
• Ten or more years of applicable experience with increasing responsibilities.
• Experience in mission processing, GEOINT, government acquisitions, systems engineering, or software development/testing.
• Experience building and leading high‑performing teams of engineering professionals.
• Ability to travel approximately one week per month and flex work schedule to meet deadlines.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph and U.S. citizenship for clearance eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior technical advisor to US Government for GEOINT radar and electro‑optical processing software for cloud deployment.
• Lead Aerospace SMEs in maturing technologies, integrating systems, and delivering resilient ground architecture.
• Coordinate with enterprise stakeholders to align user needs with solutions.
• Collaborate with agile acquisition professionals and software developers to field new capabilities quickly.
• Identify new technologies and commercial capabilities for integration into the framework.
• Assist in formulating acquisition strategies to realize best‑value solutions.
