Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation in Chantilly, Virginia is seeking a senior leader to guide a National Aerospace team directing technology investments in GEOINT sensing modalities and space-based systems. You will lead cross-disciplinary engineers and scientists across optics, electronics, radar, and processing to advance mission capabilities.

This onsite role requires collaboration with NRO/DoD/IC offices to communicate technical positions, assess risks, and enable rapid insertion of new technologies.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's in engineering/math/physical sciences.
12+ years in GEOINT sensing technologies.
Proven multi-disciplinary team leadership.

Responsibilities

Lead a National Aerospace team guiding tech investments across optics, electronics, radar and processing.
Prioritize development of next-generation spaceflight hardware and assess tech utility.
Collaborate with NRO/DoD/IC to communicate key technical positions.
Provide reachback support to test prototype hardware.
Hire, mentor, and develop career paths for staff.
