Job summary

Travelers Insurance seeks a Senior Technical Specialist, General Liability, to manage and investigate complex injury and property-damage claims from notice to resolution. You’ll determine coverage, evaluate liability, assess damages, and maintain reserves with authority, while delivering timely payments.

The role emphasizes advanced claims management, litigation coordination, and mentoring of professionals, including higher-severity claims guidance, in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher required.
• 3+ years bodily injury liability and/or property damage claim experience.
• Active adjuster license as required by state law.
• Experience with claims management systems and MS Office.
• Ability to communicate clearly with stakeholders and manage high-stakes negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage an active caseload of injury and/or property damage claims and litigation within authority.
• Investigate information with relevant parties to determine coverage and liability.
• Provide timely, professional communication to customers, counsel, and stakeholders.
• Develop and execute advanced resolution strategies and coordinate resources.
• Partner with Counsel to develop litigation management strategies.
• Negotiate settlements with key stakeholders within delegated authority.
• Maintain accurate records in claim management systems.
• Identify areas to improve current processes and propose solutions.
• Adapt to new technology implementations and AI tools while maintaining productivity.
