Job summary

Travelers is seeking a General Liability Senior Technical Specialist to independently manage high-complexity injury and property damage claims from first notice through resolution. You will determine coverage, assess liability, and establish reserves while coordinating with counsel on litigation strategy.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree with four years of bodily injury and litigation experience, plus an active adjuster license where required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required; four years of bodily injury claim and litigation experience.
• Active adjuster license, where required by state law.
• Experience with claims management systems and MS Office.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to analyze complex situations and make sound decisions independently.
• Strong customer service, ability to manage high-volume workload.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage an active caseload of injury and/or property damage claims and litigation.
• Investigate information, determine coverage, evaluate liability, and establish reserves.
• Provide timely communication to customers, counsel, vendors and stakeholders.
• Develop and execute advanced resolution strategies; coordinate resources.
• Partner with Counsel on litigation management strategies.
• Maintain accurate records in claim systems.
• Identify areas for process improvement and adapt to tech implementations.
