Job summary

Travelers is seeking a Sr Technical Specialist, General Liability in Morristown, NJ to manage high‑severity injury or property damage claims. You will assess coverage, liability, damages, reserves, and payments within authority while mentoring others and coordinating with legal counsel and external partners.

The role emphasizes advanced claims management, negotiation, and adoption of new technology, with travel as needed and licensure within months of starting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher required; state licensure where applicable.
• Active adjuster license as required by state law.
• Experience with claims management systems and MS Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage an active caseload of injury and/or property damage claims through resolution within authority.
• Investigate information, determine coverage, evaluate liability, and establish reserves.
• Provide timely communication to customers, counsel, and stakeholders.
• Develop advanced resolution strategies and coordinate internal/external resources.
• Support litigation management with Counsel and coordinate multi‑party negotiations.
• Maintain accurate records in claims systems and adapt to new tech deployments.
