Job summary

Travelers seeks a Senior Technical Specialist, General Liability, to manage complex injury and property damage claims from notice to resolution. You will evaluate coverage, liability, and damages, establish reserves, and coordinate with counsel for litigation management.

You will mentor claims professionals, navigate high-stakes negotiations, and leverage technology, including AI, to improve outcomes while maintaining service quality and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Four years of bodily injury claim and litigation experience.
• Active adjuster license where required by state law.
• Experience with claims management systems and enterprise technology platforms.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, able to convey complex information clearly.
• Ability to analyze complex situations, exercise sound judgment and make decisions independently.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage an active caseload of injury and/or property damage claims and litigation from first notice of loss through resolution.
• Investigate and determine coverage, evaluate liability, assess damages and establish reserves.
• Provide timely, professional communication to customers, counsel, and internal stakeholders.
• Develop and execute advanced resolution strategies and coordinate resources for investigations and evaluations.
• Partner with Counsel to develop litigation management strategies and conduct negotiations.
• Maintain records in claims management systems and identify areas for process improvement.
