Travelers in Charlotte, NC seeks a General Liability Claims Specialist to investigate, evaluate, reserve and resolve Bodily Injury and Property Damage claims. You will handle claims through the life cycle, ensure quality and compliance, and consult with internal and external experts to optimize outcomes.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's Degree and 2+ years BI liability claim handling or litigation experience, with strong negotiation, communication and analytical skills, and the ability to

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree required.
2+ years Bodily Injury liability claim handling and/or litigation experience.
Strong negotiation and customer service skills.
Solid understanding of policy language, exclusions and litigation management.
Ability to make independent decisions on most cases.

Responsibilities

Directly handles assigned severe claims.
Provides quality customer service and timely coverage analysis.
Investigates claims through statements with policyholders, claimants and experts.
Manages litigation plans with staff or panel counsel.
Negotiates dispositions and identifies alternate resolution methods.
