Job summary

Travelers is seeking a claims professional to investigate, evaluate, reserve, negotiate and resolve assigned serious and complex General Liability claims. You will provide quality claim handling throughout the life cycle, ensuring compliance with standards and regulations, and serve as a technical resource to colleagues and partners.

Ideal candidate has 5-7 years of bodily injury litigation experience, a Bachelor's Degree, and advanced knowledge of coverage and damages analysis.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years bodily injury litigation claim handling experience.
• Advanced level knowledge in coverage, liability and damages analysis.
• Thorough understanding of the litigation process, case law, and management skills.

Responsibilities

• Directly handle complex claims with exposure up to $2 million and file exposure > $500,000.
• Conduct prompt investigations with insureds, policyholders, witnesses and experts.
• Develop and execute litigation plans with counsel, including depositions, mediations and trials.
• Monitor and document claim file analysis, reserves and expenses for quality and timely resolutions.
• Mentor less experienced claim professionals to build bench strength.
