Job summary

Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is seeking a Senior Functional Analyst - II to lead the capture of business requirements for software projects within the Veterans Affairs portfolio. This 100% remote, U.S.-based role collaborates with business users, IT, and leadership to elaborate and document requirements in an ALM tool, leveraging SAFe and Scrum practices.

Qualifications

10 years of professional experience in software development or systems analysis.
Proven expertise with SAFe, Agile methodologies, and requirement management.
Strong written and verbal communication for customer and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Lead the capture and validation of business requirements for software projects.
Document requirements in ALM tools and manage epics, stories, and acceptance criteria.
Coordinate with IT, business users, and leadership to ensure traceability across projects.
Perform backlog refinement and manage change control for scope and risks.
Mentor junior analysts and establish SME relationships with product owners.
Support compliance with SAFe and Agile practices across the program.
