Job summary

Jukebox Health in New York seeks a Senior Fullstack Engineer who will own meaningful features end-to-end across the stack—React and TypeScript on the front end, Rails on the back end, and the databases and services that support them.

You will collaborate with product, design, and the clinical and operations teams to turn complex healthcare workflows into simple user experiences, while advancing AI-powered capabilities and mentoring teammates in a fast-growing startup.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience shipping production web applications.
• Strong proficiency across the stack: React + TypeScript on the front end and Ruby on Rails on the back end.
• Experience building or integrating AI-powered features in production applications (LLM-backed workflows, RAG, ML automation).
• Experience with relational databases and cloud providers (GCP or AWS).

Responsibilities

• Build and ship product features end-to-end across the stack: React/TypeScript on the front end, Rails on the back end, and the databases and services that support them.
• Own meaningful product areas with design, implementation, performance, and reliability responsibility.
• Model data structures and design APIs that scale with the company.
• Collaborate with product, design, and clinical/operations teams to translate workflows into usable experiences.
• Raise the technical bar through code review and engineering standards.
• Mentor engineers to accelerate team growth.
• Build and integrate AI-powered features into production.
