Job summary

K Health in New York City seeks a Senior Software Engineer to champion reliable, private, and high-performance systems powering AI-driven clinical care. You will own end-to-end product lifecycles from frontend to Kotlin/JVM backends, shaping reusable components and scalable architectures across a portfolio of healthcare products.

The role requires onsite presence in NYC four days per week with no immigration support.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience building customer-facing products.
• Strong front-to-back experience with Node/Typescript and a JVM language (Kotlin or Java) is a major plus.
• Middle-layer APIs using GraphQL and Typescript are common in our stack.
• Customer-focused UX considerations shape both functional and non-functional quality.

Responsibilities

• Architect a unified product engineering strategy prioritizing modularity, reusability, and resiliency.
• Own end-to-end lifecycle of products from multi-platform clients to backend services.
• Define standards for performance, privacy, and accessibility as core requirements.
• Modernize systems to leverage agentic AI tools to boost developer productivity.
• Build and maintain shared libraries and DSLs for rapid, high-quality deployments.
• Mentor the engineering org to balance speed with clinical-grade quality.
