Job summary

Altro Health in New York City is seeking a senior full-stack engineer to build our platform alongside the CTO and founders. This full-stack role emphasizes frontend work, crafting consumer and partner-facing interfaces while owning backend implementations.

You will ship end-to-end features, collaborate with designers, and leverage AI tools across the SDLC. A small cross-functional team and a founding-team caliber seat reflect the fast-moving, high-impact nature of this early-stage healthtech

Qualifications

• 4-7 years writing production software.
• Fluent in TypeScript + React/Next.js and shipping polished interfaces.
• Backend language experience with strong API work.
• Experience with GraphQL or REST API design.
• Cloud platform experience (GCP/AWS/Azure).
• Ability to own features end-to-end and ship with minimal dependencies.
• Clear, async communication within a small team.

Responsibilities

• Build consumer, partner-facing, and clinician-facing portals with a polished UI.
• Own features end-to-end from concept to deployment (UI, API, migrations, analytics).
• Work full-stack with primary focus on frontend and backend services.
• Collaborate with designers to ship UI that feels great to use.
• Leverage AI tooling across the SDLC to speed and improve quality.
• Work with a small cross-functional team (clinical ops, product, design, sales).
• Engineer for simple, scalable architecture with minimal dependencies.
