Job summary

Culmen International is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to design, develop, and field secure software for USPACOM J32 targeting and mission-planning workflows. You will build user-facing and backend services, integrate with government systems, and ensure auditable, secure operations in classified environments.

You will collaborate with operators and SMEs to translate complex processes into intuitive, mission-focused software while maintaining human authority over critical decisions.

Qualifications

• Full software development lifecycle expertise in secure, classified environments.
• Experience with joint targeting, Joint Fires, weaponeering, target-effect pairing, force assignment, or course-of-action analysis.
• Experience working in DoD classified environments, disconnected or restricted networks.
• Experience integrating with government interfaces and secure systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, integrate, and field secure software applications for targeting and mission-planning workflows.
• Build operator-facing applications for Target-Effect Pairing (TEP) with ranked recommendations and explanations.
• Develop backend services for workflow orchestration, recommendation processing, review and adjudication, and approval routing.
• Implement RBAC/ABAC, secure service communication, and tamper-evident audit capabilities.
• Create traceable software recording data sources, model versions, recommendation history, and decision rationale.
• Collaborate with J32 operators, SMEs, data engineers, security teams, and government system owners.
• Produce maintainable code, API documentation, and release notes for government operation and sustainment.
