Job summary

Culmen International is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to design, develop, and field secure software for USPACOM J32 targeting and mission-planning workflows. This onsite role requires collaboration with operators and SMEs in a DoD environment.

You will build user-facing and backend services, implement security controls, and ensure traceable, auditable systems while supporting lifecycle activities from design through sustainment in classified environments.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional full-stack software engineering experience.
• Strong experience with modern front-end frameworks, backend services, RESTful APIs, event-driven architectures, databases, and automated testing.
• Experience building workflow, mission-planning, decision-support, or C2 applications.
• Ability to translate complex operational processes into usable software.
• Experience with data provenance, audit logging, and access controls.
• Familiarity with containerized deployments, CI/CD pipelines, IaC, observability, and secure environments.
• Collaborate with operational users and deliver incrementally through feedback.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; TS/SCI eligibility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and field secure, mission-ready software supporting USPACOM J32 workflows.
• Develop operator-facing applications for targeting, recommendations, and adjudication.
• Build backend services for workflow orchestration, review, and force assignment support.
• Translate SME input into intuitive, compliant workflows for Phase 3/4 decisions.
• Implement RBAC, data handling, secure service communication, and auditability.
• Produce maintainable code, API docs, runbooks, and release notes.
