Job summary

Culmen International is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to support secure, mission-ready software for USPACOM J32 targeting and mission-planning workflows. You will design, develop, and field software that supports targeting operations in a classified environment.

The role requires building both user-facing and backend services, implementing security controls, and partnering with operators and SMEs to translate complex processes into intuitive workflows. On-site in Honolulu is required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional full-stack software engineering experience.
• Strong experience with modern front-end frameworks, backend services, RESTful APIs, event-driven architectures, relational or document databases, and automated testing.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and field secure software supporting USPACOM J32 targeting and fires-planning workflows.
• Develop operator-facing applications for Target-Effect Pairing (TEP) with ranked recommendations and explanations.
• Build backend services for workflow orchestration, recommendation processing, review and adjudication, and approval routing.
• Translate SME input into intuitive workflows for Phase 3 Capabilities Analysis and Phase 4 Commander’s Decision and Force Assignment.
• Implement RBAC/ABAC, classification-aware data handling, secure service communication, and tamper-evident audit capabilities.
• Produce maintainable code, API documentation, runbooks, and transition materials for government operation and sustainment.
